Workshops 2010
We are pleased to announce that The Print Block will be running 2 Screen Printing workshops during this years event.
Saturday 23rd October
Paper stencil screen printing workshop.
£15 per person including all materials
11am - 3pm
On this workshop we will be introducing you to screen printing using the paper stencil method. These are created by cutting and tearing shapes and images out of greaseproof paper which are then attached to the screen and printed.
We will spend the morning drawing and cutting the stencils and then the afternoon mixing up colours and printing. We will be aiming to produce a two colour print in this time.
Saturday 30th October
Drawing fluid screen printing workshop
£15 per person including all materials
11am - 3pm
On this workshop we will be teaching you to screen print, making stencils with drawing fluid and screen filler. The image to be printed is drawn directly onto the screen using drawing fluid and the remainder of the mesh is blocked with a layer of screen filler. It is the area that has been drawn with the drawing fluid that is then printed.
We will spend the morning painting onto the screens and the afternoon mixing colours and printing a two colour print.
Workshops will be held in Studio No4, The Pie Factory, 9 Broad Street, Margate CT9 1EW
